Spot Trading

Cryptocurrency spot trading is the process of buying and selling digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum for immediate delivery. In other words, cryptocurrencies are directly transferred between market participants (buyers and sellers). In a spot market, we have direct ownership of cryptocurrencies and are entitled to legal rights such as voting for major forks or staking participation.

Digital Asset Management

The Digital Asset Management is about managing a fund that provides the ability for investment exposure in the emerging global digital asset ecosystem through a diversified portfolio of traditional assets with the outsized opportunities of venture capital, all in both paper and digital forms.

Derivatives Trading

In the derivatives market, we are trading contracts that represent the value of a specific cryptocurrency. When we purchase a futures contract, we do not own the underlying cryptocurrency. Instead, we own a contract with an agreement to buy or sell a specific cryptocurrency at a future date.

SERIES A

HERIOS Capital Digital Asset Funds, Series A is launched on 1st Jan 2019 with average cryptocurrencies prices of Bitcoin at US$3,792. The total fund size reached US$44 Million and ended with a profit of US$91 million (207%). The subscription ended on December 31, 2019, when the average price of Bitcoin was US$7,190.

SERIES B

HERIOS Capital Digital Asset Funds, Series B is launched on 1st Jan 2020 with new additions to the portfolio such as new blockchain digital assets and DEFI digital assets. The total fund size reached US$94 Million and ended with a profit of US$215 million (228%). The subscription ended on December 31, 2020, when the average price of Bitcoin was $29,458.

SERIES C

HERIOS Capital Digital Asset Funds, Series C is launched on 1st Jan 2021 with a mixture of spot and derivatives trading. New components of the fund include NFT digital assets and mining of filecoin and Chia. The total fund size is expected at US$ 200 Million and a target profit of 350%.

RICHARD SHELDON

Chief Executive Officer

Prior to founding Herios Capital in 2017, Richard was an executive VP, heading the Capital Markets division at the Wiener Börse AG, also known as the Vienna stock exchange. Richard dived deep into blockchain as early as 2013 and was a former Cryptocurrency International Trading Training Master. With more than 9 years of real trading experience in the industry and experienced in risk management of multiple securities firms, capital management institutions, he plays a key role in Herios Capital presence on the global stage.

Being an experienced trader, he conducted extremely thorough research on professional disciplines such as monetary finance, financial markets, trading behavior, trading psychology, and accumulated extremely deep fundamental analysis capabilities and keen insight into price trends which aid in the development of our proprietary trading system. Our system is based on systematic research and integration of various trading indicators which established as a unique and efficient trading system. Richard holds a BA in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Chicago and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

MICHAEL GATES

Chief Investment Officer

Prior to joining Herios Capital as Head of Herios Investment Department, Michael was part of CBRE Global Investors and Franklin Templeton Investments. He began his career at McGuireWoods, and it was there that he exposed himself to the financial world with in-house client secondments to Bank of America and Arrow Financial Corp. Being a senior trader of well-known financial institutions, he also served as the head of the risk management team of many well-known international foreign exchange brokers.

Michael have designed diversified investment portfolios in the futures market, foreign exchange market and options market and also familiar with the changes in derivatives pricing and spot trading market strategies before and after the financial crisis in 2008. Michael is also proficient in multilateral hedging and precise risk control of investment portfolios. Michael holds a B.B.A. from the University of Texas.
